Position: QA Engineer (Mid)

We’re now looking for a QA Engineer (Mid) to join neXa and become part of an international Agile team developing digital platforms for the automotive and mobility industry. In this role, you’ll help ensure product quality through a combination of manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on expanding test automation using Java, Cucumber, and Playwright.
The role is based in Warsaw with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days per week in the office. The position is offered as a permanent employment contract (UoP) with a competitive salary package and benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Execute manual exploratory and functional testing for web applications
- Create and maintain manual test scenarios using Gherkin/BDD
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated regression tests using Java, Cucumber, and Playwright
- Identify, analyze, prioritize, and report defects across test and production environments
- Manage and support test environments
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, Bug Triage, 3 Amigos sessions, and Quality Chapter meetings
- Prepare quality reports and contribute to improving QA processes and testing strategy
- Promote a shift-left testing approach and continuous quality improvements
Requirements:
- Around 3 years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer
- Experience in both manual testing and test automation
- Practical experience with Cucumber
- Experience with Playwright
- Good knowledge of Jira and Xray
- Basic practical knowledge of Java and ability to work in a Java-based testing environment
- Experience creating test scenarios using Gherkin (BDD)
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Groovy, Shell, Bruno, or Agentic AI is considered an advantage
- ISTQB, Agile, or TMAP certification is a plus
